Terms of Service

Welcome to FluffMatch! These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the rules of our pack. By creating an account or using FluffMatch ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What FluffMatch is

FluffMatch is a matchmaking app for pets. Owners create profiles for their pets, swipe through other pets, match when likes are mutual, and chat to arrange playdates, companionship, or breeding. We provide the meeting place — what happens between matched pets and their owners is up to you.

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18 years or older to create an account.
• You may only create profiles for pets you actually own or are the primary caretaker of.
• One account per person. Keep your login details to yourself — you're responsible for activity on your account.

3. Acceptable use — be a good pack member

You agree not to:

• Upload photos that aren't of your own pet, or any content you don't have the right to share.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, or send spam or unsolicited commercial messages.
• Create fake profiles, impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your pet (species, age, health, or breeding status).
• Use the Service for anything illegal, or attempt to hack, scrape, or disrupt it.
• Post content that is hateful, sexually explicit involving humans, or otherwise inappropriate for a pet-loving community.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, with or without notice.

4. Your content and our license

You keep ownership of everything you upload — your pet's photos, bio, and messages. By posting content on FluffMatch, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content solely to operate the Service (for example, showing your pet's profile to other users). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that may persist in backups for a limited time.

5. No guarantee of matches

We can't promise your pet will find a match, a playdate, or a breeding partner. Matching depends on other users and their pets. FluffMatch is provided "as is" — we work hard to keep it lovely and reliable, but we don't warrant it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

6. Safety — please read this

• Meet in public for first playdates, and bring a friend if you can.
• You are responsible for your pet at all times — their behavior, health, vaccinations, and safety around other animals and people.
• For breeding arrangements, do your own diligence: health screenings, veterinary advice, and clear written agreements between owners are your responsibility.
• Never share financial details or send money to someone you met on FluffMatch.

We are not responsible for the actions of users or their pets, or for anything that happens at in-person meetups.

7. Accounts and termination

You can delete your pets or close your account at any time (contact us if you need help). We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or for any operational reason. Termination doesn't erase your responsibility for things you did while using the Service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FluffMatch and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including interactions with other users or their pets. Our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us (FluffMatch is currently free, so that's zero).

9. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update features or these Terms as FluffMatch evolves. We'll post changes here with a new "Last updated" date; significant changes will be highlighted in the app. Continuing to use FluffMatch after changes means you accept the new Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
